The heroine should have died.
Finishing this one was more like an endurance contest. A protagonist who drinks like a fish does not contribute to my enjoyment of a book. She should have died at the end, and deserved to, by drinking two glasses of Scotch before a meeting with a suspected murderer. Not to mention taking and drinking an off-tasting glass from the murderer.
I won't read anything else from this author and have deleted it from my Kindle library.
