Purchased these twice. First go around, I was probably a little rough on them (thinking to myself at second purchase). In order to get the cubes out, you obviously need to twist the tray a bit to free them. Problem is, the white plastic portion of tray is too thin to handle any kind of torque, no matter how gentle one is. I resorted to running the trays under hot water to free them first then twist to fully disengage the cubes. That works to a point, but my second set of trays are cracking and will eventually need to be replaced. I'll be looking elsewhere this time for something much more substantial. What did attract me to these trays is the silicone. That part works great, but gets you only so far once the white plastic cracks. Not sure if the plastic is cheap and could be more durable with greater thickness or chemical make-up, but they just don't last. Country of origin perhaps? Unsure. I do like the lids as it makes stacking a breeze and keeps the cubes clean.
