"Certified" Refurbished?. Nope. Just USED and RETURNED.
The 'Certified Refurbished' Trackpad I received is just plainly a used and returned one. Unless including a new thunderbolt cable is considered a refurbishment... This trackpad: a) has a deep scratch on the underside: (see pic #1) b) will not connect wirelessly - which means that the Bluetooth does not work: (see pic #3) c) was not even brought back to its default state, as it has the name of the previous user in some East Asian language…. (see pic #2). The trackpad was recognized and worked only when connected to the USB port (pic #2). I have bought numerous ‘certified refurbished’ products and never had an experience like this one. Apple product are ‘Certified Refurbished’ when they are certified by Apple. This does not appear to be certified by Apple. In the very least it would have been taken back to its original default state. And would not have had any physical defects (deep scratch) as Apple would have replaced the casing. If not certified by Apple, then it should state 'seller refurbished'. Seller refurbished does not have the same validity as 'Certified' refurbished. As a seller refurbished item, this trackpad is WAY OVERPRICED. It should be sold as used.
