It's Not Comfortable At All. Why So Many 5-Star Reviews?!
Reviewing after 1-month of use:
As a web developer, I sit at a chair at least 7 hours a day. My work chair has a thin cushion and sitting in that chair for long periods of time led to a series of back pains and hip pains. To ease the pains from sitting on that chair, I figured buying a nice cushion would solve everything. When I found the Everlasting Comfort Seat Cushion, I was stunned at the 13000+ reviews with 86 percent of them being 4-star ratings and 5-star ratings. I mean, the design seemed pretty stupid--Who wants to have the middle portion of their butt hanging out? Granted, I never used this type of cushion before so I figured I should give it a shot. 86 percent can't be wrong, right?
WRONG.
This cushion is a disaster. You'll feel it on your first sitting. It's almost like sitting on a toilet and the cushion is telling your butt "Hey buddy, let it out. Let's see what you ate last night." This was the hardest part to get used to. Who in their right minds decided to cut out the back part of a cushion? Is this "Innovation"?
Another flaw is that the cushion has a "curved" design. This means that the front center part slopes up while the sides' centers are sloped downward. What this means is that it creates an imbalanced feeling. You'll never get stability that comes from flat cushions because with this, one corner comes up while another corner comes down. Imagine one of those cheaply-made, cotton-filled pillows where certain sections are clumped while some some are not. Yeah, try sleeping in one and you'll know how this cushion feels.
Okay the design stinks, but what about the padding? Is it soft?
Nope. It's just a hard foam pad. One the scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being very soft and 10 being very hard, I would give it a 6.
I really wanted to give this cushion a chance. After seeing other companies marketing a similar design, I said to myself "Maybe this cushion is the future and I just need to catch up!" How wrong I was. I should've returned it when I first sat on it--Or burn it for that matter.
Sure, it might be comfortable for a lot of people...and I might be overreacting to this. But seriously, after a month of using this cushion, I am just not comfortable! Why the original designers decided not to make a flat cushion softer, i'll never know. What I do know is that I'll never buy it again.
Just find a flat cushion and please spend your 35 dollars on something else.
