UPDATE: Buggy software; no support. I reduced the rating to one star. I have been trying to figure out why this WiFi router keeps dropping connections on my phone, and sometimes on my PC, which is wired via ethernet direct to the router. The 'support' page directs you to a customer forum, where the same complaints have been made by many people, and there are NO responses from the company. When I tried their 'live chat' it turned out to just be a bot, which is not even remotely smart. And when I tried to email, their online form refused to recognize the model number AC4000, so I couldn't even send an email. The problem is that randomly, on apps like WhatsApp, SMS and Facebook Messenger, the router stops responding, the connection is dropped, and the phone says it's going back to cellphone data. In four years previously, using a Linksys device, I NEVER had that problem anywhere in the house. The worst issue is that frequently a web page on my PC will fail to load, and I have to refresh it. That's on a wired connection directly into the router. That just shouldn't happen - and again, never was a problem with the old router. So despite the better signal strength in some rooms, the connection is far less stable. Very disappointing.
