Beware if you purchased this item thinking as I did that if you install an SD card you will be able to store more books, audiobooks etc. I purchased this item because I download a lot of Kindle books & audiobooks. I have a Kindle & a Kindle Fire 7" HD (32 GB) but I wanted more storage for my audiobooks which take up a lot more storage. I also purchased a 128GB SD card after reading the information saying it would provide additional space. Unfortunately books & audiobooks can only be stored using the internal storage. I will probably be returning this item and hope Amazon will clarify the information so customers know they can't use the SD storage for books & audiobooks.
