These were great until they weren’t. I recently bought these to have as “dedicated charging points” in my house. I had a dedicated Apple brand USB charger and Samsung USB-C cable on each. They were used maybe twice in the months I have had them. Today I plugged in my iPhone and saw that there was no power. I confirmed it was plugged into the wall and the cords were firmly seated. I finally pulled it out of the wall and found this. I immediately went to the guest room to unplug that one and could hear it “squealing”. Both were plugged directly into the outlet, no other electronics in the house are having issues, including the larger Anker chargers next to the master bed. I will be contacting Anker as well but wanted to get this up ASAP in case anyone else have this issue. It very easily could’ve started a fire.
