Great recorder. The microphones pick up beautifully. The included software was easy to use and install, although it was kinda large for what it does. The device is very compact, simple to use, and has a small screen that makes options selection a breeze. There are settings for different types of sound environments as well as slots for saving custom recording parameters. The USB connector slides out of the bottom of the unit so there are no cables to fuss with - it plugs right in. I would not hesitate to buy this again - worth every penny. UPDATE - While this is a great unit I have had to return two of them in the first 3 months. Same problem, after a time the USB port fails and the unit can no longer transfer files. I'm hoping the third one is the charm.
