The light turns on at the specified time, as advertised. However, they don’t tell you that the faceplate does not remain lit up. So at night time, it is completely worthless as a clock because there is no way to actually see the numbers for the time. Also, there is no way to have the night light remain on for more than two hours, rendering it useless as a night light as well. In the instructions, this is noted as an energy saving function. However, what happens when my child wakes up in the middle of the night and there is no night light? This will be going back due to misrepresentation in the listing.
