The producer claims to be a fan of WoT, but that’s not the impression fans will get from this series. With the huge backing of Amazon, they had the potential to finally make an adaptation that could match the saga of the books. Instead, characters have been changed needlessly (cause you think Robert Jordan didn’t do a good enough job making interesting characters with clear motivations?!? Bologna!), modifications were made that don’t make any sense in the mythos and mechanics of the world, and fans have been alienated in the interest of what, I do not know. I am convinced it is possible to both stay true to an author’s work and also further develop it for the screen—that is not what this is. So disappointed. What a ruined opportunity.
