Edit to original review. My wonderful teapot cracked. 😩 I guess it couldn’t handle the heat. My husband told me when I purchased it that it would not last, it would eventually end up cracking and he was right. I’m pretty bummed. It could have been my fault, perhaps I allowed it to boil too long. This tea pot definitely shouldn’t be left boiling for too long and it needs to be supervised since there isn’t a whistle to let you know when the water is ready. For these reasons I reduce stars from 5 to 2. Just received my tea pot and I love it. It’s super cute although I do wish it was larger, I wasn’t aware how small it was. So far I haven’t had any issues using it so hopefully it last. I do want to say the handle does NOT get hot. I read some reviews that stated it did. Maybe they are leaving it on the heat much longer than necessary. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do miss having a tea kettle that whistles but I guess it’s okay. I will update if I have any durability issues.
