I bought this and the sky mat to compare. I was surprised to see that they are basically the same mat! Clearly from the same factory in China, you can see the bottoms are identical, and if you look closely you realize that these mats are actually two pieces, the top is just like an extra layer stuck on top. You can see in the pictures the bottoms are the same and that there’s a layer glued on top of both. So I looked through the product details more to find out what it’s made of (my grandmother has lots of chemical sensitivities and so I know this stuff can really affect your health. The top layer is made of PVC! That is not something you want to be standing on daily, especially with bare feet like I do when im doing dishes every night. I think it is pretty uncool that they say the material is polyurethane when the part you’re actually touching all the time is PVC. No wonder these mats are so cheap! I’m returning both. I’m still giving two stars because if you wear shoes all the time maybe its not as big a deal (athough they both smelled kinda funny too so maybe there is something being released in the air.) and I’m sure standing on these is better than the hard tile at the sink, they are cushioned. Not sure about the durability with a top layer glued on like this but im not going to keep them long enough to find out, so not fair for me to take off a star for that.
