I have purchased approximately twelve zillion items from Amazon, and I believe that this is the first time I have ever been compelled to write a review. Every single morning while putting on my makeup, I am reminded why I hate this product so much. The magnification is great. The lighting is nice and bright. The problem is that in order to illuminate the mirror, you have to tap the base. The base is EXTREMELY sensitive, so that means that the slightest touch by anything makes the light go out. Drop a kleenex on the base? Light goes out. Need to move the mirror an inch? Light goes out. Think about it really hard? Light goes out. I have to hit the base so many times every day that it sounds like I'm doing a drum solo.
