Quite simply, this is the worst book I have EVER read.
I have never posted a book review before, but this one was so terrible, and the rave reviews so unjustified, that I felt it my obligation to note that:
1. there is no plot.
2. the characters have no character.
3. there is no competition between magicians.
4. there is no justification for the so-called "competition."
I have read thousands of books (good, bad, and in between), and this is the first one that I hated outright. In a perfect world, I would rate this zero stars and demand my time/money back. Alas, I'll settle for posting a scathing review. Please don't waste your hard-earned money on this drivel.
