Source Naturals hiding their arsenic content
Arsenic content is always a concern in magnesium supplements, so you have to do your research on purity. I contacted Source Naturals and asked them how much arsenic the magnesium malate contains. They simply replied that it meets federal and state regulatory regulations (still not good enough for me—I don’t want any arsenic in my pills, thank you). When I asked them if they could tell me specifically how many mcg of arsenic are present, their response was, “Source Naturals does not currently disclose the results of our heavy metal testing to consumers.“ I followed up by asking “why not?” and asked them if they could see how their lack of transparency would be concerning to consumers. I did not receive any response after that. Arsenic is a known carcinogen and we have a right to know what we are putting into our bodies. The fact that they are deliberately hiding this information is sufficient for me know that I will not be purchasing from Source Naturals again.
