I was initially very excited to discover this weighted heating pad; two great features, both in one very soft, generous-sized pad. Upon receiving it and trying it out, however, I was immediately disappointed. Product description states that the beads inside are “carefully stitched to evenly cover the entire pad for a true weighted feel.” This is not true, as the beads are NOT evenly stitched to cover the entire pad! There is stitching around the outer edges of the pad ONLY, allowing the beads to freely move around the entire inside surface area of the pad. This makes it very difficult for the user to get a balanced amount of weight across the entire area of the pad. Instead, when using it, the beads at the highest point of the pad all roll down to the lowest point of the pad, resulting in essentially no weight at all at the top, and causing the bottom portion to become very heavy and bulky. When folding it up after use, one can still hear the beads inside rolling around. It is not worth its price tag for this reason alone. This weighted heating pad has the potential to become a superior product IF the beads were to be stitched in such a way as to keep the weight evenly balanced across the entire surface area of the pad no matter what position it is in. Hands down, I would give this product 5 stars if it had been designed that way in the first place!!
