They should make it very prominent that there is no way to tell what radio frequency you're listening to. Otherwise the reviews are spot on. CD and tape indicators are sketchy and inadequate. The good is it plays tapes and CD;s well, the speakers put out good sound for a compact unit and it's portable as heck. That radio frequency thing though drives me nuts. Who does that? Blind radio tuning gets them 2 stars. UPDATE - on the second occasion I used the tape function it decided not to work. Very frustrating. Tried 10 tapes.........nothing. Gave it a whack in frustration and it starting playing. Conclusion: combining the absence of radio tuner frequency and unreliability this I do not recommend this equipment. UPDATE 2: After one day tape player quit for good.
