I couldn't even make it through the much-too-long prologue. The prose is meandering, non-sensical twaddle. So I skipped ahead, hoping to find any sort of engaging, coherent story content. Nope. I shouldn't have to try so hard to enjoy something I'm reading for entertainment. A good novel should grab my attention and make me want to not put it down until the last page. This book doesn't do that. The author has a devoted fan-following that give high marks regardless of the quality of work he publishes. So there will be a ton of positive reviews to contradict this one. Don't be fooled, read the sample, resist the peer pressure and make your own judgement.
