Is not 256 gb. Do not buy this! It is not what is advertised. I am a very technical person and wanted to test this properly. When I got this i tested it by uploading the 200 gb SD memory from my Android to a sub directory on my mac desktop. The upload consisted of 153 gb of real date - songs and movie clips. After uploading I inserted the new bogus 256 gb in my mac and proceeded to copy those files back down. It took quite a long while and gave every appearance that all was well. The download took over 3 hours. When I inserted the new 256 gb SD memory into my Android it mounted the memory OK. But it indicated it only had 7 gb of data - instead of 153 gb. I just threw the new chip in the garbage. Don't waste your money on this fraud. I hope Amazon pulls it from their web site...
