Unfortunately I would suggest not getting this (2nd Update)
Definitely an interesting mic stand to say the least. If it's your first mic stand it's doable. But just given its structure it's definitely not something you want to stick with for a long while.I only have had it for a couple days and I can already feel the joints getting loose which is a little nerve-wracking given that it's been 2 days at most. Definitely can feel when I'm tightening the things they don't tighten as much as I would like them to especially at the mid joint. The base even when I can't twist anymore still moves, which is definitely not helpful when I am adjusting the mic a lot in relation to my mouth.I know the thing I have noticed two it's slightly leans a little bit for some reason and I don't know if maybe it's because the joints are bent but there is a slight lean to the left, at least on my mic stand. If you need something quick and don't have the money this is fine. But if you want something long term then you want to get some else. I'm just being very cautious moving the mic around, but you do get what you pay for. Update: The seller reached out to me send me a replacement stand. Definitely appreciate that notion. The review stands though. Even though this new one doesn't lean to the left, the issues are the same. The joints don't stay tight, the base moves even when tightened. I did move the springs to the lower level so it helps with my heavier mic. Like I said definitely works but not a permanent replacement, especially of you're gonna be using it constantly. Update 2: It has now been several month and officially this mic stand is now useless. I dropped my rating from a 3 to a 1 unfortunately. Even after going back and forth with the seller and getting the original mic arm replaced (this is the one they sent me) that I purchased I wouldn't suggest getting this. I've added 2 new photos to show that at this point no matter how hard I try and tighten the screw or how much of that thread tape I wrap, it will not hold the weight of my mic. I've even used pliers to tighten it in the mic and it still comes lose. You can also see that the metal has deformed do to the amount of tighting I've done. I would suggest getting something else at this point than purchasing this stand.
