I love the artwork on all the Hot Chocolate / Chocolaticas shoes. I'm giving two stars because I love the artwork so much. The pictures of all the shoes are adorable, and I really like the mis-matched images on left and right shoes. I was sooo tempted to buy a bunch of pairs in different designs. HOWEVER...(and it's a big "however"), I'm glad I did not. These shoes just are not comfortable for my feet. Unfortunately, the tendon of my big toe rubs against the edge of the opening of the shoe every time I flex my feet. Also, I have high arches and these shoes offer *zero* arch support. When I tried adding an orthotic, my heel was pushed up too high to be held by the heel cup, and my foot was pushed even harder against the area where it was already, painfully, rubbing. I'm on the lookout for some arch support which doesn't add height, and perhaps I could modify the shoe somehow so that the edge of the shoe opening doesn't rub so painfully right where my toes bend when I'm walking, but for what these shoes cost, I'm really disappointed that I have to do so much work to (maybe) be able to comfortably use them. And then there's the issue of what these shoes are... These shoes are printed fabric shoes. For this price, I was expecting a more substantial shoe. Something which didn't pucker/dent in at the toe, from just basic wear -- I didn't step on the toes or do anything external to push the fabric of the shoes inward (as another customer had noted); dented/puckered just seems to be the shoes intrinsic state. It's a pity. I really, really wanted to like these shoes. I'm glad that some people (maybe with flatter/wider feet and shorter toes?) are finding them to be both comfortable *and* adorable. I find them to be adorable, but sadly, unwearable.
