I bought this Walkman to replace a previous one I had bought at the same price point, that appears to have a weakening battery. The one I currently own Sony NWZS544 8 GB Walkman MP3 Video Player (Black) (Discontinued by Manufacturer) is phenomenal, really good sound and features and I bought it for $99 5 years ago. This new model pales in comparison. You know how they say that a $600 iPhone only costs $125 in parts? Well this device looks and sounds like $20 dollars in parts. Feels super cheap, the screen is horrible - half the resolution of the 5 year old model. It just feels like a cash grab from Sony - memory is super cheap now, 16 gig is nothing. Even with good headphones the sound quality is pathetic. And the most annoying 'feature', you have to disable bass boost to change the EQ settings. On the previous model I own, the bass boost is a slider on the EQ screen. All in all, a terrible product, spend your money on good headphones for your phone instead.
