Insultingly modern and unfaithful to Tolkien's legacy.
Amazon deleted my previous review, so I'll keep this brief in case the decide to do it again.
The show is badly paced, poorly written, and the main characters are unlikeable, especially Galadriel. The nonhuman races feel too human. There is an overabundance of lore for the casual viewer and too much bad lore for the Tolkien fan.
Watch if you will, but Amazon's treatment of the franchise along with their stifling of critics has cemented my decision to not renew Prime.
