READ THE 1 star review! You have to buy another book for the whole story.
Sometimes I think the reviews are written and paid for by amazon or the author. I don't want a book that is advertised for free to require me to buy the next book for the rest of the story. When I come upon an author that I like, I don't hesitate to purchase more books...but I resent, STRONGLY, being forced to. READ THE 1 star reviews BEFORE YOU BUY BOOKS
