I was SO excited about this water purifier! I have a thing about clean, chemical free water and have tried many filters, but they usually start grossing me out after about a year and a million cartridges. This one looked like it would do a thorough job and be less maintenance. I use it for my four children, one of which drinks about 5 bottles of formula a day. It's pretty much all that goes into his body right now, so I want to start with clean water, obviously. I fill it about every 3-4 days, and each time it gets too low to reach the spigot, i start from scratch. The last 2 inches in there looks disgusting! There is a nasty film on the top and a crust around the edge and at the bottom. I have to scrub the heck out of it to get it clean....every four days??? And I do realize that you can't measure water purity by TDS, but still, should it go up after it goes through these filters? Right now it is going up about 40-50 from my tap water, which is at about 210-230. What is this fancy filter adding to my water? I wanted to give it a chance to properly run all the extra junk out of the filters, but I've refilled it a good 15-20 times now...I did it five in the first day before I used it. Frankly, I'm a little afraid to give this water to my baby. I added two pictures...it's a little hard to see, but one shows it with water and the other, I tilted it and wiped my finger on the bottom to show the sediment nastiness.
