Bought three and all failed by nine months of ownership. They worked great until they would no longer charge. I thought No problem since we got the square trade insurance/extended warranty..what a scam...I currently have 10 non functional kindle fire7 16gb in my possession to be sent back. What an enormous hassle. Squaretrade will only send refurbished tablets. Every single one has stopped working within ours of turning it on. The all go into an auto recovery mode but will not recover. Amazon is sending defective devices and they have used all the replacement coverage from the extended warranty company. Basically, we had a legitimate issue with our kindles, all three stopped taking a charge within a week of each other. I attempted to use the extended warranty. I am repeatedly sent defective kindles, that rather than Amazon standing behind their product, I get the repeated run around. The devices that should be covered by Amazon because they last an average of two hours before the software fails have used any remaining coverage left on the extended warranty. So, when our original kindle tablets went down we were s.o.l. Because we have not been furnished with working tablets as of yet but our warranty has been exhausted with junk that doesn't not work...Amazon claiming to be customer centric will not stand behind this product or the warranty they sold us. I have spent many hours dealing with this. See photos...all of those kindles have failed to work. I will be busy packing them up today. And my kids no longer have their tablet. I would love some help with this. Calls and "chats" are getting me no where.
