I can't believe it but my Vellux blanket just disintegrated in the washer. Washed in normal cycle with normal detergent and fabric softener on warm-warm. My husband noticed what looked like sludge being cycled in our window of our front loader washer. We were both flabbergasted. Never saw anything like it in our lives. We just cleaned out the huge mess from the washer. We had a bunch of foam sludge and netting. Hopefully tomorrow after the washer dries and we vacuum it out, the washer will still work. Also hope we didn't kill the filters on our septic system.
