I enjoyed Charles Martin's writings until this book. I deleted it from my kindle library after paying full price. Something has slipped. There are curse words and what's worse, they weren't necessary. They don't add dimension to the characters. The sexual situations have become more explicit and uncomfortable for me as a Christian. I had so looked forward to reading this, but, cannot recommend. He writes well and with insight, but the shift in what is now allowable replaced enjoyment with conscience that I shouldn't keep reading.
