WARNING - Supporting Software installs a Trusted Root Certificate called <root> in Windows
This is totally shady - Instead of using a trusted certificate from a certified authority I already know, the software to run the program installs a root certificate on your computer (thus allowing it to run programs on your browser and executables without warning you - including possibly adding new programs, etc). What is worse is that I deleted the root certificate - and the installed web component still worked for monitoring video remotely over the internet (begging the question of why did they install that software if it isn't really needed).
I'm returning these two cameras and the outdoor camera I ordered. Setting up cameras to monitor your home is a business that requires trust. Foscam lost my trust by (1) installing a trusted root certificate, (2) naming the certificate "root" instead of properly identifying which company it is from, and (3) the web components still work without the certificate installed.
