★★☆☆☆
Simple and silly
I really did not like this book much at all. The storyline itself wasn't bad. However, I really felt like it was written by a teenager or amateur. First, there were a lot of grammatical errors, which COULD be a Kindle thing and not the author's fault, but I found them distracting nonetheless. On to the story...
I think it was supposed to be a mix of action and romance, with a little comedy mixed in. I think it failed on all three (well, I *did* laugh on occasion but more because it was so ridiculous). The story of undercover agent brings down a violent drug ring was ridiculous. It was so unrealistic and silly...they even referred to the criminals by the names of the three stooges who literally fell over each other multiple times. The attack scenes were just laughable (and not in a good way). Plus, everything just fell into place a little TOO easily.
As far as romance, if you want a steamy novel, this is NOT it. There is only the briefest mention of sex. Romantic comedy movies are hotter than this book. Nothing about this book is remotely realistic, and I just couldn't taken anything about it seriously. Sorry. A lot of people seem to like it based on the reviews, but I wish I had known some of this before I got the book.
