★★☆☆☆
Not the same, with several problems
This set is not as good as the sets we had as kids... For one thing there is only ONE central wheel, instead of two (three?), The entire box is about the size of a 6" tablet, and so I am suspicious there are less wheels in general; you are supposed to use a piece of putty to hold the paper instead of pins, so it leaves a light spot on the paper and makes the paper lumpy enough so it does not lay flat when you draw; and to top it off, the "raised" numbers on all the wheels that help you line up the start point for each cycle are so small and virtually unreadable (Yes, I assumed my eyes are just not spot on and tried a small magnifier). Oh and it only comes with two pens. My solutions for my grandson: bought some round large-head straight pins and curt them down to about 1/4" ; bought some 8 x 10 foam core boards to use as firm surface that pins will go into and hold paper; and used a sharpie pen to mark some of the key points on the wheels; bought an inexpensive pack of colored pens. No complaints on the seller though, they shipped quickly and item arrived in perfect condition.
