Someone gave me the advice to try this insect killer to cope with gnats and fruit flies, but this remedy failed severely. I was using this machine precisely as instructed, and it still is not catching any of these annoying pests. Initially, it eliminates all the bugs, but later it becomes unable to control them. Once in use, it lasted five days before not working any longer. Above all, we used to hear a constant buzzing from the zapper and assumed that it was doing its thing to a swarm of insects, but in actual it was sparking, smoking and then flaming. It appears that the build quality of this item is unsatisfactory, making the product too dangerous to use. The concept of the machine is excellent and may work for someone else, but it didn't seem to work well for me. It is not a substitute for standing water issues and requires some cleaning. It isn't delightful to have this catcher in the middle of mosquito season. I think people should not buy this death machine.
