Fake reviews? Illegitimate seller? Either way, two HUGE thumbs down. The constantly on blue light would be a big downside if it was in my bedroom not my study. However that falls to the wayside in comparison with the TERRIBLE performance of this pad. It is A JOKE how weak these fans are. Seriously, they do next to nothing. I tried to think of a way to show visually just how pathetic these fans were and uploaded a customer photo of them FAILING TO LIFT even a single sheet of singly ply toilet paper. This could never hope to cool my laptop down. I rarely write reviews, let alone go through the effort to include a photo, but hopefully I save at least ONE person from making this mistake. PLEASE heed my warning. I have never heard of 'Avantek' before, but I have made a vow to crusade against them after they f***ed me over with this product which OBVIOUSLY should never have made it to market (unless my model is defective somehow). If the strength of the fan is no concern for you (why are you shopping for a cooling pad) then consider how slick the surface is, My laptop, which has rubber grippers on the bottom, still slides off if I put the feet up. or how unreasonable the placement of the USB ports and power switch is (on the back???). I have tried multiple usb cables, outlets etc. from different sources and nothing makes the fans stronger. ***EDIT Been about 2 years and the fans are still working just as slow as day 1. LED's haven't died. Still dislike this product. Oh yeah, it DOES have that cool 'X' in the middle though!!!
