Broke, as expected, in two years. Customer Support does not respond
Within two years the springs broke on this scooper.
I don't know whether to blame the company or not as I stated in my original review, these devices don't last more than a year or two before the springs snap. I contacted customer support about the warranty (used the support email provided in negative Amazon review responses) and they never bothered to respond.
I would not spend this kind of money on a scooper that will ultimately break. They all do. Please click on my name above as I have just reviewed a jaw scoop that is half the price and just as good. You won't feel ripped off when it eventually breaks.

To begin with, I think its safe to say that anyone who buys one of these scoopers is going to have a love/hate relationship with it
They really are the ultimate solution for picking up solid dog waste without having to bend down and do it manually.
The problem is, these scoopers ultimately break. I have been through two of them (not this model) thus far. One was a Petco brand and the more recent purchase was this little guy...

I am going to compare this Nature Miracle Jaw Scoop to the above product as I think there are distinct differences in how they work.
The brand I listed above actually lasted me a little over a year before its springs broke. Up until that point, I really loved that scooper as it had a terrific "jaws of life" grip to it that really held on to the waste once picked up.
To compare, Nature's Miracle Jaw Scoop has a better build quality, has a much lighter/easier handle pull to it, but does not hold on to the waste as well once picked up. The bottom claw doesn't completely shut and sometimes leaves the tiniest of spacing that items can fall out. However, it's not problematic enough that it makes this product a total failure. I just personally prefer a tighter claw.
I actually picked this model as a replacement among many others simply because when there were reported issues of broken springs posted on Amazon reviews (and there are quite a few here), the company has responded and sent replacement springs to the customer. That alone gives me some sort of assurance that when this product finally breaks, the company will stand behind it.
Again, I like the build quality on this scooper. It has such an effortless handle pull. I wish the claw completely shut when picking up waste, but the spacing is not enough to really be concerned with. Sometimes it causes an issue and sometimes it does not. I just hope that I get plenty of use out of this scooper before a spring snap -- which ultimately seems to be the problem with most all these scooper products.
