I gutted through to the end in order to write a legitimate, informed review. It almost got Two Stars for some of the exciting action scenes, but Nah. The US government is brutally attacked, not by America's enemies, the jihadiis, but by... Wait for it.... REPUBLICANS. In a time where practically everything is politicized and polarized, I didn't expect this in what started as a reasonable imitation of the Mitch Rapp books by the forever memorialized Vince Flynn. (Those ARE recommended) The author states emphatically that both Kennedy assassinations were carried out by the United States. This kind of unproven accusation assures the reader that most likely by book 2, or maybe 3, Flight 800 and 9-11 will be declared inside jobs, as well. The language is expectedly foul, given the characters, but every author gets to decide if they need to make Jesus one of their favored swear words. This one went for it. What a waste of good reading time.
