I'm having trouble with ball lids not sealing reliably for the last three years. I have lost bottles of beans that have been pressure cooked, and jam that didn't seal, and many other foods. My daughter-in-law used some of my lids and also had failures last year. She lost 15 quarts of peaches. We are finding this very distressing. I have been canning for 50 years, and know what I am doing, whether it is jams and jellies, fruits, and tomatoes done in a water bath canner. I do applesauce, vegetables, soups, chili, and meats in the pressure cooker. I cannot afford to do all this work and have dozens and dozens of lids fail! Ball needs to go back to putting a thicker layer of rubber on the lids so the seal will last!!!! Ball, please FIX this problem!!!
