I filled one with an already iced drink, adding more ice. Two and one half hours later, no ice at all. That was with the metal lid. The lid is the problem. It bleeds cold. You can touch the bottle and it is temperature neutral, but the lid is cold. That is the cold leaving the bottle. I returned mine, I was that disappointed
