I purchased this item as a "personal item" for flying that would fit under the airplane seats... so I would not have to pay the $30-$100 for a carry on bag. I used it on Spirit and Frontier flights without an issue, and the dimensions are just within the dimensions they provide. The bag material is good quality, the bag keeps its shape well, but the stitching appears to be the weak link. I used it on five one way flights, and before I was able to unpack it after the last flight, the larger shoulder strap ripped out of the seam of the bag, leaving a hole in the bag, and a useless strap. I contacted the seller who said it was Amazon's problem since they are the ones who shipped it. So it would make a good gym bag for throwing a towel and a change of clothes in, but dont count on it to last if you plan on packing it full. If the strap was reinforced where it was sewn to the bag, it would make a world of difference as the material and the rest of the bag seem to be of decent quality for the money.
