★★☆☆☆
Overpriced for build quality.
First, to qualify my opinion, I'm an auto mechanic who understands the basic fundamentals of durability, and who also recognizes the quality or shortcomings of tools. When I unboxed this little guy and snapped it together, I was quickly disappointed at just how cheap it felt. Everything is plastic, and not good heavy plastic, but the kind that is thin and apt to crack or break if, for example, dropped down stairs, or leaned on heavily. The handle is telescopic and hollow, and does not feel sturdy. As I tried it out, the thing creaked and rattled, as if it had loose fasteners, and I quickly lost confidence. At the bottom of the handle is an indexing, spring loaded plastic roller, designed to maintain the handle in an upright position when not in use, or lock it flat when sweeping under a bed. When put into the flat position, it gives an alarming plastic SNAP. After looking at this roller and it's design, I can all but promise anyone reading this that it will break at some point. As far as the base of the unit, it seems pretty tight, has decent power, and very nice LED lights. The wheels use bearings on metal axles. The roller brush can be easily removed for service or cleaning, and is engaged and driven by a gear and socket. The dust collection system again seems a little cheap, and the moving sliding parts will eventually become stiff with grit. Overall, this unit needs to be beefed up to justify it's price point. If this was priced at $99, I'd give it a solid three to four stars. However, in my opinion, it's going to break repeatedly, especially if you have kids doing chores with it. Bottom line, this vacuum is about $100 overpriced, especially considering it's a Chinese import.
