Worked great for a couple of months on comfort mode and the humidity reading fluctuated and it ran every half hour/hour or so. I left it in the same place, kept it level. Emptied the tank, cleaned the filters. I was happy my windows weren't fogging up (I'm in the Pacific NW and it is damp here). After a couple of months the humidity reading is always 47% on the display and it doesn't run anymore, because it's decided that's comfortable enough I guess? It seems to run on continuous but that was making the air too dry in my house and the constant noise is annoying. All or nothing I guess. What a rip off.
