I'm not sure if I got a defective machine but this thing is just awful. I've had to have it serviced twice and I have had it for less than 6 months. I feel like it only does the stitches it wants to do when it decides it wants to do it to be honest. So my 4 overlocked stitch worked forever and was wonderful, then it went crazy and I got it serviced. The 4 overlock worked for a while, then it wouldn't work. It wouldn't chain just destroyed the fabric so I moved to a rolled hem 3 stitch that worked for a couple of months then all of a sudden out of the blue it didn't like that one so I went back the 4 overlock and voila it worked! For a few weeks then it hated the 4 and wanted to go back to the 3 now it doesn't want to do anything and something chipped off of it while I was just serging a simple cotton and I'm completely done. I will have spent more getting this thing serviced than I spent on the machine. I hate it and I want to throw it in the garbage. I've changed needles thread everything it's just a nightmare of a machine.
