Don't spend money without research
Disclaimer: I have not read this book.
I am 'semi-retired' and living close to the bone, so when google pulled up this amazon link, I had to check it out. This book and the publisher raise some red flags for me:
1) There is no author, so it is impossible to determine if they know what they are talking about.
2) The publisher publishers a long list of similar books and newsletters on many topics, all with no author.
3) the used prices on the book are the prices you see in the remainder bins - does not speak well for the value of the content.
4) googling the publisher pulled up articles and reviews that are concerning.
5) going to the publisher's site and looking at the quality of the free advice was illuminating, to say the least.
So here are two free tips:
1) try your library. My library has this book. If yours does not, have them try interlibrary loan. If after you read it you don't buy it, put the book price in your savings account or pay down some debt. That saves you $$ right there.
2) Google "retiring poor". You'll come up with lots of free ideas and insights from all over the world.
