I had only used this dish a handful of times when it spontaneously cracked in half in the oven. For reference the oven was set to 450 degrees and the dish had not undergone any extreme temperature changes (it had never been frozen). I contacted the company since supposedly these products have a warranty, but I was told that I would have to ship this extremely heavy dish and lid back to the company at my own expense, and then they would evaluate the damage to see if I qualify for the warranty. After reading reviews online it sounds like this would be a waste of time and money as many people said they were told that they somehow misused the product and did not qualify for the warranty. I asked the representative from the company if I could bring the broken dish into a Le Creuset store, but I was told no. Nobody in a Le Creuset store will help you. At this point I am just going to trash this beast of a dish and never buy Le Creuset again.
