Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I read lots of reviews for this before I bought it. I watched videos and closely examined pictures. Overwhelmingly, the reviews on Amazon are 5-star glowing reviews about how well this works. After receiving the product and trying it out, I thought I was going to be adding my testimonial to the 5-star crowd's. This thing hates weeds and attacks them with abandon. Enormous dandelions, roots and all, are evicted from the ground without being allowed to pack a day bag. Fiskars offers an insane 25-year warranty on this product. That can only mean one thing: THIS SHIP IS UNSINKABLE!! Surely the 1-star crowd with their ravings about how this product wilts and breaks on the maiden voyage must be doing something wrong. Certainly operator error is to blame for destroying a product burly enough to not only bear the name Fiskars, but also be backed by a quarter-century no-questions-asked replacement program. Well, the other shoe fell off about thirty minutes into my first weed-extermination spree. I was shocked! I was so careful to not bend it too much. I know what kinds of stresses can occur when you bend something too far. I'm here to tell you, there is no way that is product could possibly last 25 years under normal, as-intended operation. All that Fiskars needs to do is this: Leave the design exactly as-is (because it really does work!), but change the foot from being made of plastic to literally ANY metal. If that foot was made of aluminum, they could double the warranty life. BOTTOM LINE: I returned it for my money back the day after I received it. It really bummed me out because it worked, until it broke. Don't buy this until Fiskars wises up and realizes that people will pay a little more for a quality product constructed of quality materials.
