I bought this even though it was a bit bulky, and I had to return it to GoPro due to the loose 3.5 mm female input slot. Could barely hold the mic male 3.5 mm input. It also made a slight consistent helicopter noise, and it would occasionally record without sound. I informed GoPro and they sent me a new one, and it made a LOUD helicopter sound, and it would consistently record without sound if you used the record button. For the adapter to record with sound consistently you had to use your cell phone app. However the consistent helicopter like popping noise was extremely loud and unbearable. Save your money and buy the: Moto Z Type C to 3.5mm Headphone Audio Adapter, 2 Pack USB-C to 3.5mm for $7.99 on Amazon. Works great!!
