I was so excited to get this appliance. I had researched and talked to friends and I just knew I would love it. When it came, I read the direction book that came with it a couple of times including the recipe book. I even bought a recipe book from Amazon that was specifically written for this. I have cooked several things in it now. I have gone explicitely by the instructions. Everything I have cooked while following the directions, has burned to a crisp. So, I cooked all the same things again, cutting the recommended cooking time in half. Everything, again, was burned. Even at half power, when I used my food thermometer to check the bone-in chicken legs which said the internal temperature should be at least 165 degrees ......at half power, the internal temperature of the chicken lets was 210 degrees. Everything I just wrote had to do with the air fryer portion of the cooker. Now for the grilling portion .....almost the same exact results. Everything has burned. I've grilled chicken, burger, veggies .....I have totally followed the directions. Again, everything burned to a crisp even at half of the recommended cooking time. Maybe I have a defective machine .....but even so, it's too late to return it. So today, I'm retiring this machine to a shelf in the back of my garage. I should have also mentioned, all of this occurred while sheltering in place during the virus situation. I'm a 68 year old widow who lives alone. I'm high risk and can't go out for groceries so have depended on what I had here in my freezer and have now lost a lot of food to this appliance. I had such high hopes for this machine.
