I woke up around 3AM this morning to the acrid phenolic smell of burning plastics. This outlet was spewing blue and white flames about a centimeter long, filling the room with that awful smell. I disabled the circuit and unplugged it. The attached pictures show the charred mess I found. I own two of these. Obviously I unplugged the other one and will not be using it again. Obviously had I not been home and discovered this, the fire could have spread.
