There is nowhere a hint that this is only one part of a serial! It pretends to be a complete novel - somtimes abit slow-going,but that'saceptable. Backstory comes around very late - so for most of the time, readers are in the dark, why the heroine is really in such danger. that was annoying, as is the author just pretended to have a shimmer of a reason for the ausaults. But then no part of the plot got finsihed, not even the love story plot.. Or discovering who one of the major players is. The author just decidd to cut the story. Maye she thought , she had anough pages wirittn. Or whatever. Of course II'm curious. But I would never let me trick in buying the next part. And I will never ever buy another book of this cheating author, because I'd suspect to be cheated again.
