I actually LIKE the Spot in every way except one. But this is a critical one for me, and one that I see (now that I have mine and have read the Q&As thoroughly) that MANY others have complained about. It's just crazy and horribly annoying that there is no way to disable the "things to try" screen. I don't want it. I never want it. I get all of the new "things to try" in my e-mail anyway. That's where they belong, not on my Spot screen. It would likely take an Echo developer less than an hour to provide a click-box in the Spot settings page to enable the "Things to try" screen. Leave it selected by default if you want, Amazon, but PLEASE give us a way to turn it off! This is a trivial feature that many MANY people are asking for, and the lack of it is certainly hurting your Spot and Show sales. If/when such a settings checkbox is added with a software upgrade, I promise that I'll update my review to five stars. Everything ELSE about the device is great.
