Unusable
This thing is unusable. The browser crashes every 10 to 15 minutes. I tried restoring to factory settings, but it made no difference. The first crash happened literally seconds after I turned it on. Don't expect any support from Google for their buggy operating system. There's no way to talk to anyone on the phone. You can email them and wait for days for a response. In my case, they recommended I delete my addons/extensions. I use a moderate number of extensions in my Chrome profile (things like adblock, a weather widget, Lastpass, a screen shot tool, etc). Nothing too crazy. I wasn't going to delete them because Google's unstable, bug-ridden operating system can't handle them. So I returned it.
Don't expect smooth sailing from your Chromebook. Google is likely years away from putting out a stable Chrome OS. You also shouldn't expect any support from Google, who make no effort at communicating with customers. Samsung support is slightly better. But they can only resolve hardware issues. The awful operating system is all Google's fault.
Update: Before I returned it today, I made one last attempt at fixing the browser crashes. I did a reset to the original factory settings. Then I opened a session in Guest mode. In this mode, there were no extraneous extensions, addons, plugins, or apps. I was running the OS exactly as Google released it. I browsed Google News for a miraculous 20 minutes. I thought all was well, but then it crashed again.
To the people who find this review "unhelpful," I sincerely hope your experience with this product goes better than mine. Maybe my Chromebook is just a lemon. But if you search the web for Chromebook crashes, you'll find lots of discussions on Google product support as well as other forums. There are many users who share my frustration. It's disconcerting that Google and Samsung support can provide no other troubleshooting steps other than clearing cookies or performing a factory reset. Again, the core problem is a buggy OS that's not ready for prime time.
Buyer beware.
